Does anyone know if everyone gets an email, even if you are not chosen?
@Dancingmom518 I know they Email you if you get it but I’m not sure if they Email you otherwise. I hope they do because logically they should Email someone if they don’t get it. Some people who applied regularly rather than through SAS got Rejection Emails so…I am hoping for an Email but I’m expecting a rejection. If not then if you don’t get anything then I guess you’re denied.
Thank you, @Lunarlitgend . I guess we will all have to wait and see.
@dancingmom You’re welcome and yup you’re right but I swear I’m getting so impatient cause I just want to know
I wish you the best of luck!
Good luck to all of you! I’m really nervous and hope the emails come out soon
@qeertktkrndbfntn Me too!! And same goes for you!!
LOL Anyone get their SAS Results yet?
not i
@stilsh I didn’t either :-bd
I’m really confused and frustrated. Scholastic isn’t the best at being very specific. I’m not sure if not receiving one means you didn’t get in but if so that’s really disappointing. I think people should at least be informed about whether or not they made it, but if that’s not actually what it means…what’s taking so long?
If it makes you guys feel better I sent an Email to Scholastic about it because I’m just about getting riled up about this [-X
I emailed them everyone and this was their response!
“On our SAS Scholarship FAQ page, we state: “Students will be notified by email by April 18, 2018 if they are receiving a SAS Scholarship.” If you were not notified by a staff member directly, we hope you spend the summer creating/working hard and look forward to your new submissions next program year!”
So basically they’re saying if you didn’t get anything you didn’t make it but there’s always next year!
@Lunarlitgend oh welp. thanks for relaying the info
@stilsh You’re welcome! Yeah it’s pretty disappointing but hey they were right on one thing, there’s always next year!
Was anyone here a senior this year? I’m going to be a senior in the fall, and I’m planning on entering the competition again this year because I want to aim higher and I feel that I’ve grown as a writer. I understand that the results of the competition aren’t usually out until February, which is well after the early and regular deadlines for most colleges, but I was wondering if you could still submit any awards you may have gotten from that year to colleges. If any seniors have gone through this experience before, could you please reach out to me? I would really appreciate it!
