School ACT scores? April 19th ACT exam at your school.

Hi everyone,

I took an ACT on April 19th, 2017 at my school.

Has anyone else taken their ACT at school during the 19th of April this year or in the past? If you took it this year, did you receive your scores yet (or do you know when we will receive the scores)? If you took the in-school ACT in the past years, how did you do on the exam? Does the in-school ACT curve more than the other ACT exams or does it curve lower?

For me personally, the in-school ACT felt a lot harder than any other ACT I’ve ever taken, so I’m just wondering. I also haven’t gotten my scores yet (and ACT usually gives out scores 10 days after you take the exam).

Our son took the in-school on 4/19. No scores yet. The school said that the state administered scores take longer than the “regular” ACT tests to deliver. 3-4 weeks instead of 10 days.

I’m still wondering if the ACT exam at school has a bigger curve than an ACT exam at a testing center.

Scores for Ohio April 19 in-school ACT were posted online today for our school.

Since ACT allows students to submit scores to college that were taken during state testing, then you should assume your state scores are comparable to those you would earn at a regular sitting.

ACT is a huge enterprise that can vary test items for one administration to result n comparable scores on another. The in-school sittings means the chair you occupied was at yourself school for state testing. Statistics are wonderful because you will get your own scores, perhaps variation of scores in your building and scores for your those taking the test at the same time you did. ACT can slice and dice scores electronically, but does not administer a version particular to your school with its own unique set of norms.

ACT has procedures in place to make sure that tests are returned from all buildings that were sites for state tests. The boxes are checked in and stored for processing. This is a huge operation!

If you are wondering when to know your scores, ask your friend if they have theirs or call ACT.
