School but NO State ID, what do I do. Help

I start school at the University at Buffalo on Tuesday. Im a Transfer student. They give you a Student ID card, but to get this student id card, you need to show legal state proof which is only a Drivers licence, learners permit or a Photo Non-driving state id. I dont have any. I dont drive and have never had a need for a standard ID. My prior school didnt ask for this and niether did my HS. I got both id's from them with no problem. I was never even asked. I cant get a passport either because their is no time.

I thought i might wnat to go to the DMV and get the Photo ID , but i dont have a Social Security card. My mother has no idea where it is, thogh tonight after 6 hrs of searching throgh boxes we found a birth certificate.

I mean what do I do, will my school make an exception, il be sure to call them first thing in the morning but any input would help. I have 4 Photo ids from schools and work, will these be ok.

if you are 18 or older, you really should carry with you legal identification. Your school might make an exception, but you should get a state ID if you don't drive.

yeah i know that now. I never had a need for it before. Its to late to get one now as i donte even have a social card.

well you can apply to get another card, you have to go to your local social security office, but then you have to wait like 2 weeks for the card. The DMV website lists a combination of things you can provide to prove your identity for an ID, I'm sure you can scrounge up some things.

yeah but i start school in just a few days., i aint got a few weeks.
