Hi Dean J/Other UVA Applicants,

I submitted my Early Action application a few days before the deadline and I recently logged in to my Student Information Systems account. It says that my Secondary School Report/Teacher Recommendation/Transcript are all still missing, but are due 11/10/12. I know that all of these were submitted to the Common App by my school. Do I have to do anything else (send via mail?) to get them sent to UVA? Have they received them and are still processing them? Thank you! Kitkat

Hi kitkat,

It can be kind of nerve-wracking to open up that SIS and see a list of things on your ‘to-do list’ that you know have been sent. Are they lost? Do I send them again? What to do?!? For the sake of not repeating myself, I’m going to link you to a post down thread that answers this:

If this doesn’t cover your question entirely, please let me know and I’ll try to be more clear. :)

Thanks for your reply; that’s exactly how I felt!
So, if I understand correctly, even though I submitted them electronically through the Common App, it takes a few weeks to process them? So there’s nothing I need to do?
Thanks again

Thats correct. Your response is perfectly normal. Just keep an eye on it. Items should filter off with the exception of the mid-year report (which obviously isn’t available yet). Admissions will send out an email to anyone with missing credentials in a few weeks. If you haven’t already, you can subscribe to Dean J’s blog to get a notification for each new post. She’ll post there with all the latest updates as soon as information is available. She’s also on twitter and fb. My hs Jr follows her on twitter and thinks she’s pretty funny.
