I know the ACT isn’t great but I didn’t practice enough or prepare enough. Hopefully I can get it up to 30+. I plan to take SAT in the spring.
Extracurriculars:
Student Congress (group of 40 students): I have been in congress for two years, going into my third. Plan on 4 years. I ran for a board position but did not get it. I am one of two reps from our school’s congress and I meet with reps from other schools within our conference. I am also the chair for the school improvements committee this year.
Key Club: Going into third year, planning on four total. I have gained 40+ hours of community service through this club.
Unified Sports: help disabled kids play sports. I did it freshman and sophomore year, hoping to help this year.
NHS: applied this year, hope to get in.
Tennis: third year on team, second year on varsity
Golf: will be third year on team, played varsity sophomore year, voted most improved player sophomore year
Worked as a counselor at a camp for kids with muscular dystrophy for a week. I hope to do this again next year, it was a great, eye-opening experience. 144 hours of service
Planning on retaking for sure and putting some effort into scoring higher as I didn’t prepare much before ACT. I know this isn’t terrific but I hope to get up to the 30s. If anyone has any tips to help raise my score without taking a class or spending too much money:).
What kinds of chances do I have at these schools? Thanks!
