Hey, so I am dying to see other people's visual sample that they created. I am hoping we could give each other comments and constructive criticism.

I got into the Critical Studies Program, which shocked me. People would classify me as a much more traditional CCer, but I have always loved film (I started a Film Society at my school) and I wrote my IB Extended Essay on Film.

I haven’t been accepted yet, just sharing
I’m praying that I’ll get accepted though. 54 of 1100 applicants are accepted so I’m kinda freaking out.

Hey guys, I’ve been accepted to the production program.
For those who are curious, here is my visual sample: [Descent - YouTube](<a href=“Descent - YouTube”>Descent - YouTube)

Filmwalker, congrats! Would you mind posting a link to your visual sample?

anar136. Wow! Great short! It reminded me a bit of inception, with the use of cinematography to trick the audience into seeing paradoxes. The introduction of the weird was also great, taking a seemingly routine video turning it upside down.

Honestly, I am a bit jealous. I need to grab my t2i and do something :P

anar136,
I think the cinematography is great! Professional looking. As for the story, I liked it a lot except I think the ending was a tiny bit flat. Very awesome though! Congrats! I hope I get to join you next year.

Agreed anar136! If anyone deserves a scholarship and acceptance it’s definitely you with your stats and video!! Congrats again, hope we can all be lucky enough to meet each other next year :)

anar136, I really liked your film, it was very original. Congrats on your acceptance! hopefully I’ll join you next year.

Seabasstian, your film was very good too. I liked the story! Good luck!!

Mine: [“A Purpose” - USC School of Cinematic Arts Visual Sample - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)
It was my first film ever so don’t expect too much.

coffeebeann- I’m a girl, so I know there is at least one. But in all honesty, I am assuming there are many young women who have applied this year. The School of Cinematic Arts undergrad population is 41% female and 59% male. Hopefully we will increase our percentage this year!
