School of Continuing and Professional Studies

Hey! Can anybody tell me more about this? How good is it compared to Stern? It it a lot easier to get in than Stern? And how hard is it to transfer schools at NYU? For example, if I got in to School of Continuing and Professional Studies, would it be hard to transfer to STern? thanks a lott!

SCPS is for adults continuing their education.. so the criteria is different. If your in college now as a transfer you probably wont get in...just because NYU will look at you as not being the right fit.Just apply to Stern if you want to go there...no sense in taking the backdoor route. ( and thats if its even allowed)

well i was interested in hospitality, which is in SCPS for undergrads, but since stern is so nationally ranked/recognized, i was just wondering =] so...can we apply there as freshmen (i'm still in high school). thanks!!

SCPS is not only for adults to study. You can also apply to SCPS as a freshman for Hospitality and Tourism Management or Sports Management. It is a very small school compared to the other schools so it is competitive. If you are thinking of finding a career in those fields, like Hotel Management, Tourism Management, Food & Beverage, Event Planning, etc, then NYU Hopitality Management is a VERY good choice as it is third in the U.S. after Cornell and UNLV. Unfortunately, you can't transfer from SCPS to Stern. It's not allowed. Good Luck! :)
