If you got into the school of music, read ahead: If your GPA and SATs, maybe rank and such are not great but your audition is kick-arse, would you have better chances at admission?

For instance, my gpa UW is around a 3.8, W is a 4.1 (almost, + or - ), rank is top 12%, sat is barely 1100 (on the old), but extracurriculars are crazy and great in my opinion (i think at least :P). But, if you totally ace that audition, would that give you any boost or would retaking the SAT or doing something else be a better option? Thanks

Also...how important are the exams on theory they give out? Thanks :D
