I noticed UCSD doesn't offer free "holiday" shuttle service for the week of(after) finals like they do for the breaks such as thankgiving and spring break. I was wondering what most people did to get to the airport, to rephrase, what's the cheapest, practical way.

It probably depends on how much stuff you’re taking. If you only have one or two [small] suitcases, public transit is the cheapest (If you take the 150 to downtown, then the 992 to the airport, it’ll cost you $2.25 with a student ID and should only take about half an hour, maybe 40 minutes).

If you have more luggage (i.e., if you’re moving home for the summer or something), you might want to order an airport shuttle (I’ve never had to take one, but I’ve seen Cloud 9 on campus several times). I’m not sure how much that will cost you, but I’m guessing it’ll be around $20-30. Calling a taxi, by the way, would cost about $40.

Of course, finding someone with a car who can give you a ride is always the best way.

Depends on which airport you will be taking, I’ll be taking my car up to UCSD, since I do live in 30 minutes away, if we become friends, I don’t mind taking you to the airport haha.

Yeah, best practical way is to find a friend and give him gas money, $10 usually be enough to bribe the person.

Or a taxi will be the next best thing.
