School Suggestions for a soon to be senior

Hi everybody! Senior year is coming up close for me, and I am still stuck with what schools to apply to. Any Suggestions would be helpful!!

I am going to be a senior at a small prep school in Omaha, Nebraska.

Me:
I have a 3.25 GPA (weighted)

ACT: Taken twice
Composite: 28/30
English: 31/26
Math: 24/25
Reading: 31/33
Science: 27/36 (so lucky)
Writing: 10/11

I will probably take it one more time, try and get a 32+

I have taken 3 AP's, AP Euro History (3 on AP exam), and AP US History (waiting on score), and AP Composition (waiting on score)
Next year i will take AP Literature

I am a mostly B student.

I am a 3-sport athlete.

Football- Captain Junior/Senior Year, lettered

Basketball- started varsity junior/(expected) senior year, lettered

Track- Varsity junior year/(expected) senior year

I am also a major component of our 5-time state championship speech team.

We have won state each year i have been in high school. In my event (duet acting) i have received 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd respectfully.

We won districts and conferences every year i have been on the team.

I won a national science competition (eCYBERMISSION. we won an award called the Application of Science, Technology, and Math) with a group of kids Freshman year.

I am part of my Academic Decathlon team sophomore and junior year. Junior year I made it to the State competition where i placed 1st in Hard Sciences, 2nd in Humanities and 2nd in Fine Sciences.

I made the Principal's list my Freshman and Sophomore year (all A's and B's. didn't junior year because of Spanish IV. my teacher is horrible!)

I am a student ambassador at my school, which is how i get most of my community service (help out the new kids)

Volunteer at my church on occasion.

I help with the middle School speech team. Help them with pieces and then i judge meets.

I also work at Old Navy. During the school year i work between 8-17 hours (saturday's and sundays) and during the summer i work 20-30 hours a week.

Colleges i am have looked at:
University of Nebraska-Lincoln
University of Kansas
LSU

Looked at other state schools such as Iowa and Missouri. Only problem is the price.

However i think a big school is the place for me.

With all my information, what do you think? I am confident i can get into all of these schools. My main issue is that my Dad isn't willing to spend more than in-state tuition for Nebraska (around $20,000 with room and board.) So where do you think i should go? any Scholarships you know of that i could ask schools about? Any information you have would be great.

It’s going to be tough to beat the cost/benefit of your in-state flagship. Don’t think your academics/scores are strong enough to be competitive for merit aid, unfortunately.

I think you have a good list of schools. May add UNL’s historic rival, CU-Boulder, but it’ll be much more expensive…

Any particular academic interest at this point?

LSU has scholarships for a 30 ACT score. I don’t know if it is guaranteed though. If it is, it might work. I would think that might bring LSU down to about 20,000.

bump…

Gay!!!

I used the CollegeBoard’s “College MatchMaker”, which is really awesome  You put in everything you want in a college (tuition cost, sports/majors available, location, setting, percentage of students admitted, etc.) and it spits out a list of colleges in the US that satisfy your requirements! Here’s the link for it:

Maybe look into Arkansas and Oklahoma universities? I think the universities around this area have in-state tuition for kids who live around, but not necessarily INSIDE, those states. Good luck!
