I'm a rising in HS and currently at the stage of randomly looking at schools.
I know there are the CC school matching thing and others everywhere on the web, but I want to input from real people.

What I'm looking for is a liberal arts type school ( doesn't have to be liberal arts itself, just have the feel) that offers a possibility of some sort of an engineering department.
What I've come across were Harvey Mudd and Tufts Uni

Any other suggestions? Rankings, grades, and those number stats don't really matter for now.

We need to know your stats to suggest match schools.

The trouble is that many top engineering schools tend to be large.

Brown is LAC-like and offers decent engineering. However, its engineering departments are relatively small, for example, and whether it is a school you want to consider applying to depends on your stats.

add Union College, Lafayette College. Then there are the Ivies, though the size of their engineering programs vary a lot. Dartmouth for example doesn’t have separate departments or degree designations for the different engineering disciplines while Cornell is the opposite and has loads of different engineering majors. Totally different approach and environment.

So basically LAC-type schools that also have engineering are in the minority really. There aren’t that many which is too bad.
