On the Rice website, I read that I have to apply to the school that fits my sat 2 tests. I got an 800 on 2c, 720 on chem and 740 on 1c... but i want to go to the school of social sciences and major in economics and/or sociology...
does the fact that I didn't take any sat 2s pertaining to anything besides science and math hurt my chances of being accepted to this school?

No, it really doesn't matter. You are ok.

The "school" designations are pretty meaningless, actually, since you can change your major anytime. I remember when I was applying I asked a bunch of different admissions people if my SAT II subjects needed to pertain to my major, and they said they did not (though this was back when the SAT II writing was required since the old SAT was still being used - I feel old).
