Hi
My school starts on Monday. It's like the last school in the city to start. I feel a certain ambilivence towards this because I want school to start but at the same time don't want summer to be over.
But there is good news; some weird authority decided that daylight saving time would end one day before school (24th) instead of the normal date (29th)...so the day will be shorter and school won't seem as long. And, for the first month of school; it'll be only 3.5 hours instead of the normal seven...so that's good too.

You still arent in school? W T F? I know Israel is in school. Why not Egypt?

:/ when does you summer break begin if your school starts near the end of september?

summer started in mid June; and will end late september.
Isreal and Egypt have two completely different educational systems..the fact that they are neighbours geographically is irrelevent.

ok...It's still crazy.

my school is pretty crazy...but our summer is the longest here! It's great.

My school ends April 27th and starts 5th Sept. Beat that.

PS, I'm in college.

a 4 month summer...cool
but here college kids have a 2.5 month summer, it's brutal.

June 25 - September 6th. Very standard :)

june 16th-august 8th...but we have a christmas break from decem,ber 7th-february 1st

here we just have Christmas Day off, and January 7th (Coptic Christmas)...not 2 months.

most schools in latinamerica tend to have longer vacations during christmas break than during midyear due to the weather (our dry season is during december).... but msot of these schools have really short midyear vacations ( something like 2 wks),...we jsut have mroe cause we don't have many random holidays, and we actually get stuff done in school so we don't spend liek amonth of classes jsut chilling, which is what many schools here do

mid year here is about 2 weeks also. It's a useless holiday if you ask me. too short to d anything in and too cold to be "chilling" in too.

School Starts In Less Than 24 Hours!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Too cold? In Egypt? I chilled and played in -15 C :)

Where I live it sometimes gets to -40F!!

In the winter it's 10 C. But compared to the 45 C in the summer...it's cold.

10 C is about my favorite temperature. It's just cool enough that you feel crisp and alive, but not so cold that you don't like going outside. Hot=Uggh

but I've always wanted to experince below zero temperatures. I have once before, but it was an artificial snow park in the middle of the desert. I want the real thing.

Lol. What unis are you applying to? If they're in the NE of U.S., then your wish should come true.
