Hi there, I am going to be a senior in the fall and I was wondering what colleges I should be checking out. I have a few in mind but could use some help. My grades are less than stellar my first two years, but I was sick and out of school my freshman year(literally I was on medical leave from November 2009 until June 2010) and was unable to pass any of my classes other than two, Biology (with a C, I don't know how I pulled that off), and English (Another C). I was recovering in my sophomore year and did just okay, one A, 2 B's, 2 C's, and 2 D's. Fortunately I made an almost full recovery this past year, and was able to focus on my school work, I got 5 A's, 2 B's , and one C. My overall average (unweighted) is about a 3.28, I am hoping to move that up to about a 3.45 next year, and will be taking AP courses in US History, and Language. I don't have many EC's just Math Club, and Tri-M Music Honors Society. I plan on joining Prom Committee, Swim Team, and It's Academic next year as well(don't want to join too many things though). I have done some community service, but not a whole bunch. To tell you a little bit about myself, I am a black female and I live in an urban community, I would like to double major in music and business. I do gigs with my older brother, and I record in the studio. I am really looking for schools in a big city, preferably one with good music roots(it is a plus, but not a given). By the way, I live in Boston.
Oh, and my SATs are projected to be in the 1650-1800 range. So please give me some school too look at that fit my range, and some reach! (Any ?'s ask away please).
