My brother is applying to college and has a list that includes Bridgewater State, UMass Amherst, UMass Dartmouth, and Stonehill; however, we’ve run a few NPCs, and they don’t come out to super affordable-I figured I’d see if anyone has any suggestions!
My family makes about 95,000, will have two in college (we pay about 30,000 for my tuition currently), and we have about 70,000 in savings.
My brother has a 3.6 GPA, an 1810 SAT, and is undeclared-so no super specialized schools or programs needed.
You’re now at NEU. Will NEU give you more money once your brother goes to school?
Your parents KNEW that your brother would be going to college when they agreed to let you transfer recently to NEU. What was their plan to pay for your costs and his upcoming costs?
My tuition is set to go down to around 20,000 next year with him in college as well-my parents are willing to pay up to 20,000-ish (probably give a few thousand) but cheaper is better-our EFC works out to about 11,000 each
My financial aid does go up next year-I’ll be estimated to pay around 20,000 (with the options to take out the federal loans). It actually will be cheaper than UMass was.
