No school is like Reed! From what i hear, anyway. What are you looking for? Perhaps school such as the University of Chicago might interest you. how about the following

Bard College
Brown University
Cornell University
Dartmouth College
Grinnell College
Hampshire College
Harvard College
Lewis & Clark College
Marlboro College
Oberlin College
Sarah Lawrence College
Stanford University
Swarthmore College

Maybe Amherst? There are so many schools out there. What do you like about Reed?

St. John's College in Santa Fe and Annapolis are often paired with Reed as the most intellectual colleges in the country. There are other similarities too....but several extreme differences also.

Oh, I just remembered: The New College of Florida, it is the official "honors college" of Florida! It's a great school very similar to Reed with a nice small student body.
Also, Florida Out-Of-State isn't quite as bad as other states. IT's a real deal when you consider it's a public school with only 700 people and small class sizes. If you're a national merit scholar and if you have great grades there are plenty of oppurtunities for Merit scholarships also (Reed doesn't offer Mert-based rewards)

Hehe i just threw the Princeton Review list in his direction, added my own two at the end. I second St. Johns for the different atmostphere (i considered going myself, but felt reed and st john were too intense for me). Anyway, i would have given a better list, but i still dont' know what he likes about reed.

Bard has quite a few similarities in trying to instill a very self-conscious approach to an individual's academic development. They are much, much stronger in the arts (film, music, studio arts, etc.), however. UChicago is similar in its student body intellectualism, and the relatively smaller weight given to both athletics and the arts; it has a stricter core curriculum in the first two years. Oberlin's student body is very similar, but attached as it is to the Conservatory, and because of its size, the arts are stronger. Some similarities to Swarthmore in academic intensity (and in type of location).
