Schools like Tufts?

<p>I haven't visited many schools but I really like Tufts and I was wondering if there are any schools with similar characteristics that I should look at. What I especially like:</p>

<p>-Mid-sized school
-Near a city
-Focus on interesting classes: this is a big one. My tour guide talked a lot about interesting classes she took as well as the Ex-College (people outside of Tufts come in to teach classes), and I haven't really found something like that anywhere else yet -- I want academic rigor, but I want really interesting classes that the students get excited about too.</p>

<p>Are you looking for similar schools because your stats make Tufts a reach? Or are you in the ballpark for Tufts and looking for a less elite school as a backup?</p>

<p>Holy Cross, Brandeis, Trinity.</p>

<p>Rochester, Vanderbilt, Rice, Northwestern, Brown. (D loves Tufts…also loves all those schools.) </p>

<p>Emory, Johns Hopkins, University of Richmond, Tulane, Wash U (St. Louis), Wake Forest</p>

<p>Maybe a Claremont consortium college, not sure which would be a fit without knowing more about you.</p>
