I was wondering which schools tend to weight SAT scores very heavily. I'm a kid with very high SATs, but a very weak GPA. The rest of my package is decent, and I'll come off as intelligent in the interview and essay. I'm just wondering which schools are more willing to take a chance on a kid like me.

Look for good schools with low yields and good state schools.

Thanks. I feel as though schools that want Talent/Ability as well as Standardized Test Scores seem to fit the mold.

All the large universities (HYPSM, UC's) etc.. weigh SAT highly.
LAC's tend to not as much i hear.

actually, most top unis rate the transcript much more heavily than test scores. The simple fact is that there are 35,000 high schools in the country, with 35k Vals, 35k Sals, etc, and not many slots at HYPSM et al....thus, to be competitive, an applicant needs a strong transcript, along with test scores above 700.

Thanks. It just seems as though threads constantly pop up about which schools tend to weigh the GPA much more heavily than the SAT, but not vice versa. Considering the scores that seem common here on CC, that struck me as a bit... odd.
