Schools to look into?

Hello all!

I am trying to help a friend find schools that he's matched at that are Private (He's already applied to UC and doesn't seem to like other state systems) institutions.

I just know the general info that he's told me, so bear with me >.<
GPA: 3.8-4.1 weighted (Giving the range of different calculations)
SAT 1: 2050
SAT Math II: 750
SAT Bio E: 690

ECs (Which are uncomfortably similar, to be honest):
Founding Member of Gay-Straight Alliance
Founded and is Chair of Academic League on Campus
COSMOS @ UCSD
Presented to Nobel Laureates at the 2009 California Nobel Laureate Dinner
Research Grant from Intel
Student Ambassador to the Community (He gives tours and speaks about our school to the constant stream of guests that come through)
Just started a Research "Apprenticeship" at UCSD, guaranteed publication, potential conference in April
Some stuff with a rival theater troupe, couldn't tell you what positions.

We're the first graduating class of our school, and we can't take weighted courses until 11th grade, to put a few odd pieces of information into the consideration. He wants to do some Molecular/Structural Bio stuff, not sure if he wants to focus on Computational or more Biochemical research. I was thinking something along the lines of Boston University, but I couldn't think of others. I'm just trying to identify schools based on the strength of the program in relation to his stats, he can figure out how he feels about the schools later.

Thanks in advance!

How much can his family afford? Is he from CA?

He is from CA, and his family is pretty well off, so I’d assume they could afford quite a bit

How about Case Western (OH) or Reed (OR). Reed will be something of a reach.

Interesting! I’ll pass them along!
