Do you know the size of the graduating class of 2009?

10 characterssss

Sorry I don’t know the number of the 2009 graduating class, my guess is around 75-80.

Doesn’t this list include the 8th graders that left “early” as well as the 9th graders that graduated? I would guess over 100 students form the complete list.

To answer your question, I don’t know. Very few if any kids leave after 8th grade each year. Sometimes one, sometimes two maybe even more but most years none. My guess is about 75-80 kinds in 8th & 9th grades, 50-60 in 7th and 30 in 6th grade. I’m in the ball park. They normally want kids for at least 2 years. They have over enrolled in the past even though they are on a rolling admissions because they have a hard time saying no to a good kid. Unsure how you arrived at 100, many of the graduates go on to the same prep school with one or two or more other classmates. It is by far, in my biased opinion, the best pre-prep boarding school with it’s only competition being home.

No Andover and Exeter there.

Just shows that you don’t need to go to a fancy junior boarding school to go to Andover or Exeter. I definitely didn’t.

Just shows that even folks that can’t read carefully can get into Exeter and Andover. :wink:
Both schools are represented in the lists above. It shows Eagle Brook students were accepted to Exeter but chose not to attend, and that students were both accepted to and matriculated to Phillips Academy aka Andover.

But of course you don’t have to go to a junior boarding school to get into great boarding schools. Eagle Brook is a great school nonetheless. For those looking at junior boarding schools for boys, I would also suggest looking at Cardigan Mountain School.

@cksabs
upon second look, it states Class of 2009, so no eighth graders.

Thanks, kudos to Cardigan.

so you mean these kids are trained just to get into a top boarding school?
thats crazy

Oh yes, they’re programmed like little prep robots that go all the way to Harvard then turn left.

my bad. I’m a little bit slow :(

What type of school is Eaglebrook?

Currently, I am an Eaglebrook student and am quite appalled as to the lack of knowledge surrounding my school. First off, there were 96-100 kids in last years class, but 3 were “dismissed” and most likely not on the list. Yet the Eaglebrook Placement office stood behind these students, and they all are currently enrolled in prep schools. Also, students at Eaglebrook are not “robots” or “trained” we are normal (usually affluent) young kids having a good time learning, and making friendships upon the hill. Eaglebrook students also have a much better chances at getting in to top tier schools with worse transcripts, because admission officers know that we (the students) have lived through many of the experiences associated with boarding school, and will be well acquainted with a boarding environment. Lastly, “ops” you seem to be very interested in Eaglebrook, yet you do not know the size of the graduating class, so you must not be affiliated with Eaglebrook. Why are you so interested? Any Questions?

Steady there papereater33, I was joking in response to golfkid’s comment. As for the class size, c’mon it is always changing and as I stated it was a guess. Too bad I didn’t ask when I just met up with my classmate Andy and Stuart a few weeks ago. Yes, I am big supporter of EBS and I am always very pleased to see where you guys matriculate. Lumen Fides Labor Facta. Peace.
