I know USC-Columbia and Clemson both have some provisions for students with certain SAT and GPAs to have OOS tuition waived. What other schools have this beneift? If yes, do you know the criteria for the waiver?

Good question. I'd be interested to hear this too.

I know UT Austin does because my son's roommate from Indiana got it, but I don't know specifics. He was a NMF Val, so it makes sense, but what is the cutoff?

I think Florida Atlantic has them.

I've heard UNC- Chapel Hill... doubt its true though. and even if you did qualify to get tuition waived there it wouldn't guranteed your admission!

Good question though, I can't wait to hear answers

My daughter received a Tiger Scholarship - out of state tuition waiver from LSU. The scholarship required 3.0 GPA and 26 ACT or 1170 SAT. (She had a 28 ACT). If they had accepted her ACT superscore of 30, she would have received a Golden Oaks Scholarship - Full tuition.

LSU is dolling out the money to OOS, 32+ ACT might get you a full ride.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln

If you're OOS at Michigan State and have a 33 ACT/1500 SAT and are in the honors college, you get in-state tuition.

Universty of New Mexico and New Mexico State give in-state tuition for a sliding scale of GPA and SAT. Not very high, either.

Great...any others?

I think Oklahoma University, and maybe Ole Miss (University of Mississippi). Check out Auburn, and some other public Southern schools. They are a lot better than people give them credit for, and they have great campus atmospheres.

I believe University of Alabama offers instate tutiton rate for certain SAT score. When S1 was applying four years ago, he got mail from Alabama that said anyone with SAT 1400 or over qualified for instate tuition (may be different now).

^^^^^^

1400 SAT (CR+M) gets you a full tuition scholly at 'Bama now, so even better.

Here's the link for Alabama:

man i should have applied to UA as a backup...that scholarship deal was really nice

"LSU is dolling out the money to OOS, 32+ ACT might get you a full ride."

The full ride scholarship requires 33+ and only 10 are available.

32+ will automatically get you full tuition plus a little bit, making it close to a full ride.

Ohh, there's only 10? But full tuition+ is still pretty good.

I've heard Clemson does.

None of the UC's give tuition waivers, right? Probably not LA or Berk, or maybe SB(though SB is where I want to go the most, lol), but maybe some of the other UCs?

Here's information about OU's
