schools with public health or international health major

Hey, I'm a senior, trying to compile the list of schools I will be applying to. My current intended major is something in the realm of public health or international health (the actual title varies depending on the school). The current list of schools I'm considering is: American University, UNC, University of Washington, Georgetown, BU, George Mason, UC Irvine, Northeastern, and NYU. (Obviously I won't apply to all, these are just considerations). Flexible scheduling to allow for internships and study abroad opportunities is important. Schools in an urban setting would be preferred.

To give you some context as to what schools I would be capable of getting into: My GPA is (unweighted) 3.9 on a 4.0 scale, taking all honors and AP classes. I got all 5's on the four AP tests I have taken sophomore and junior year, and will be taking another four APs senior year. My SAT composite score is 2240 (750 critical reading, 770 math, and 720 writing) and my ACT composite is 35 (34 science, 35 reading, 34 math, 35 writing). My SAT subject tests are a little low, 750 in biology and 740 in math 2.

Any input on my current list of potential schools or recommendations of others would be much appreciated :)

Some additional Public Health schools to look at: Johns Hopkins, University of Rochester, UC Berkeley. Washington University St. Louis has a Global Health major.

You’ve got pretty good stats for most of the schools you listed. WUSTL and JHU would probably be low reach. UC Berkeley is not easy to get in out of state.

GW is another one to look at.

Not sure what you mean by “flexible scheduling”. UofR is a open curriculum school and allows a lot of flexibility.

Brown, Yale and Penn have Public Health programs. Penn in particular has a very interesting program- Health and Societies. But obviously these are reaches for everyone.

Also, check out Tulane.
