Science and Humanities Scholars

<p>I found out that I was selected for this program through my admission letter, and I was just curious as to how they select candidates. The math/science parts of my application are decent, but I don't think I'm particularly strong in the humanities. (After sophomore year, my English grades have been mostly Bs...)</p>

<p>Now that I think of it, though, my Common App essay did have a part talking about how I would enjoy studying both the liberal arts and STEM fields... That might explain some of it. :P</p>

<p>Also, what are the benefits of the program besides having different required courses? Could anyone who's currently in SHS share their opinion of it?</p>

<p>I was invited to the Humanities Scholars Program (even though I mentioned being interested in the Science Humanities Scholar program in my app, lol). If there’s any general information about the Scholar groups (HSP, SHS, QSSS, etc) then it would be helpful. The websites seem to be about four years out of date…</p>
