I'm taking the ACT on Saturday and I need to get my score up to a 34. I got 35s on English and Reading, but I only got a 24 in Science and a 26 in Math, with a composite score of a 30. What can I do to improve my Science and Math scores?

I’d use your skills in reading towards science. Seriously, just do the exact same thing. For math, you’re going to have to learn your concepts and stuff. Just keep doing problems and write down how to do them from the book. Plug and chug always helps on the ACT surprisingly.

math is easy to master once you’re comfortable with the kinds of things they’re going to ask. i went from a 25 to a 33 in it just from doing practice tests. i never had to go back and review old concepts from past years in math. however, a lot of people do like to go back and review, so it could be a good option for you.

science is always an enigma, though. my scores go all over the place from as low as 19 (my first time ever) to a 31 (my best ever). there’s a lot of luck involved, but as shizzle said, if you’re a master at reading, it shouldn’t be hard for you to improve your science score. you don’t really have to have any scientific background knowledge, although sometimes it helps.
