I’m a rising senior, and this summer I plan to participate in a not-so-well-known research program in which I’ll be working with a prof on food science and nanotechnology.
Aware that I started a bit late (b/c my school does not have a science fair tradition and there’s no anything sciency addressed at my school; and I’ve only been here for 2 yrs), I do think that I’ve tried hard enough to explore my potential opportunities and have found this research program.
I’d really want to enter some of the regional/national science fair competitions. My question is IT’S TOO LATE, isn’t it? I’ve noticed that the Google Science Fair submission deadline is in a few days, the state science fair competition has already passed (it’s in April), etc.
Is it true that I don’t have any opportunities to enter my research project before college admission starts? If so, I may have to submit my research paper as supplements to colleges IF THEY DO ACCEPT SUCH THINGS. If not, is there ANYTHING that I can participate and potentially get the results before Dec. at the end of the year?
