Hello all,

I'm going to keep this short: I'm a freshman at a state school in Wisconsin that's competitive enough for my liking. I am in the closing of my freshman year and I am currently a chemistry major. I'm in our honors program and plan on finishing this semester with a high GPA.

I am a strong student in many subjects, my interests are highly varied. As much as I enjoy chemistry and think that I have potential in it, I also have a passion for the social sciences & humanities. I am considering a minor in something like history, as it is something I have been passionate about longer than any other subject.

Basically, I'm asking what other people think of the idea of having a chemistry major with, say, a history minor. I'm leaving this question intentionally open-ended because I want a diverse array of responses.
