Science Subject Tests

I’m taking Math, Bio, and Physics subject tests in August. I’m comfortable with Math and Physics because I’ve had recent exposure to the subjects, but I haven’t reviewed Bio material in some time until now (I’m taking AP Bio next year, but before that I only took Honors in freshman year). I’m more confident in my ability to get an 800 in Math II and Physics than Bio, but I’m planning on majoring in Bio/Biochem in college. If I were to get an 800 in physics but not bio, would most top colleges be suspicious, or are they just looking for a good score in ANY science?

(As a side note, is it even realistic for me to take Bio in this situation? I remember most of the material and can pick up on new things somewhat quickly, but I’m not sure if a summer of preparation is enough to master it)

Unless a college asks for specific tests, then it’s your choice what subjects to take. Georgetown is the only US college that recommends 3 Subject Tests, so if you are not applying there and you think you will score well on M2 and Physics, then taking Bio could be a waste of time and money.

However, if you choose to take them all, you don’t have to send them all, unless the college requires all scores. But even if a college requires all scores, they will only look at the best 2 (if 2 is the number of tests they recommend). Good luck.
