I'm doing research into the colleges high on my list of possibilities. I love the way Pomona sounds on paper, a small, quirky school with good academics. However, I am planning to major in science and the fact that Pomona doesn't offer a Bachelor of Sciences degree has me a little aprehensive. Would a Bachelor of Arts degree in a science major be a hindrance in applying to medical or graduate school to pursue additional education in the field? Can anyone share more information about their own experiences with Pomona's science programs? Any and all information would be very much appreciated.

Not at all, you have no disadvantage, just look at Pomona’s med and grad school acceptance rates. One particular case I know of is a molecular bio major who got into many top molec bio programs. The science professors here (along with every other dept.) are from the best programs in the country, and with the small class sizes and close knit academic community you will surely get a good reccommendation (if you deserve one, of course).

Getting a BA versus BS in a science major makes absolutely no difference for graduate and medical school admissions.
