How are the sciences at nova?

Sciences at Villanova are rigorous with little leeway in scheduling.
Be prepared to work HARD if you are a science major.
Advising in the department is strong.

If you are an incoming freshman and are considering a science major , I would not enter as an undeclared “arts” student , the default classification for undecided in the school of liberal arts. You will fall behind in curriculum requirements.

Check the below links to see sample schedules and curriculum requirements:

I heard the sciences are not only hard but the quality of professors is poor, particularly for computer science.

Brave, are science majors required to fulfill the foreign language requirement for the core?

Foreign language is required

Bio professors are good , don’t know about CS but it is a relatively new academic field.

Brave Ulysses,

The med school acceptance rate seems low vs Holy Cross and Notre Dame, though that stat can be manipulated. Are there some tangible/statistical indicators of the strength of the science program?
