Anyone else get this? I was just informed by email today that I will be receiving $3000/yr =] Yay!

Congratulations! How wonderful. Are you parents SC alums perhaps? Very cool.

Actually, my brother is an alum. He got his bachelor's at Viterbi in 2004 and his master's there as well in '06. Safe to say, the alumni connection has served him VERY well job-wise, even out of CA here in the midwest.

And thanks! I'm so excited to be a Trojan next year!!

I just found out about mine today too! $2850 a year!!! Hooray!

Congratulations infinite abyss!

Its a week later than last year’s SCion awards. No word on our end, anyone else hear anything yet?

Fight On!

No word here.

none here! if people have already heard about receiving some, that’s probably not that great of a sign, is it?

Hi greeneyes. Don’t worry, the only people who have heard on this thread were those who posted last year, this is an old thread I pulled up. So I guess no news is good news, at least for now.

Fight On!

oh haha my bad… guess we keep waiting!

Ugh, no news yet…

When I was leaving from my interview, the lady said they’d let me know within 2-3 weeks. It’s been almost 4.

Yeah, seriously. Even though it’s a lil bit of money, money’s money!!!

It does seem like the financial aid department is really behind schedule this year. My son received the Town & Gown Orange County Award and it just showed up on his oasis account a couple of weeks ago. We hadn’t received an award letter from Town and Gown, so I emailed them to make sure we didn’t need to formally accept it.

They were disappointed that we had found out before their letter went out, but they had been waiting to get an acknowledgement from USC since USC matches their award. We have still not received a letter so Town and Gown apparantly is still waiting for an acknowledgement from the financial aid department.

The point of my story is perhaps this is the reason for the delay in the SCion awards.

My other theory is that they are waiting until May 1st to determine who has officially registered for enrollment.

Fight On!

still no word??

No word here.

No word. Bah.

no word here either!

I haven’t heard back for SCion and neither has my
friend who goes to my school…wierd.

Maybe no one is worthy…no word here either :)

Looks like they haven’t decided, based on no one here hearing. almost 5 weeks, not 2-3… what’s taking so long??
