Hi, can you guys help me with some of my questions.
I'm aware that there is score choice.

1) If i opt to use score choice, do colleges know that i did?
2) If i opt to use score choice when colleges say send ALL scores, will they know that i've used score choice.
3) when colleges say they superscore, do they really not consider the other sections, even if they are really bad?

I’m not sure if they know that you use Score Choice, but it’s really not needed, since they ignore your weaker tests and only focus on the highest score.

Some (most?) colleges state that they super score and only consider your best scores so that there is no reason not to submit all scores. If this is true and the other (lower) scores have absolutely no impact, why do some colleges require that they be submitted? This does not make any sense to me. I have seen comments at some college websites (I do not recall where) that they want to know if the SAT score submitted was the result of having taken it only once or whether an applicant had taken the SAT more than a certain number ( I think it might have been 3) of times. I do not see how they can make these statements while at the same time contending that they only consider the best scores.

CMC - it makes sense - they will look at only the highest scores, but they do also want to know how many times you took the test. I have heard from various reliable sources that taking the SAT more than two or three times tends to leave a negative impression.
