Hi guys! I have a question about score choice. So a few of my schools (including my top choice) do not use score choice. I took 4 SAT subject tests and technically 2 AP exams. I took Math 1 (as a precaution) sophomore year, Math 2, World History, and Spanish. I scored a 730 on Math 1 and an 800 on Math 2 (yeah, I don’t really get it either), and I did fine on my other 2. I just want to submit (for obvious reasons) Math 2, World History, and Spanish. Am I required to submit the Math 1 as well? When I went to check out how to send scores, it gave me the option of checking whether I want to send it, but there wasn’t an option for the normal SAT. Does that mean I don’t have to submit it? I also took two AP exams, U.S. history and Macroeconomics. I scored a 5 on the U.S. exam, but I actually got sick during the Macro test and had to leave early, so I didn’t submit it. When I go on to the College Board website, it gives me a dash for a score. Do I also have to submit that exam as well? I don’t really want to (also because I was self-studying it and I really don’t need to submit it). Thanks.
AP scores are self reported. Don’t send an official score report until you know which college you’re attending.

A school without score choice will need to see all of your subject test scores too!
Additionally, if your top choice school is Yale, which I think it might be :), for the purpose of AP’s remember that they offer very limited credit options for AP. They will only accept you for a certain number of class exemptions so depending on whether or not you already have scores you would like to use for exemptions you may save a lot of time and money by not taking your Senior AP exams!
@mischkad123 My top choice is not Yale. It’s UPenn. (I am not applying to Yale.) Are you sure about the subject tests? When I go to send the scores, it gives me the option of not sending my subject tests, but requires that I submit all of my sat reasoning tests. I emailed the admissions office to confirm.
You will be given the option, but from according to Yale anyways you must include ALL subject tests! If you email them they can give you the best answer but you may have to wait a little bit for it 
busy time of year for them!
I’m fairly certain that most schools who don’t let you use score choice only apply that to the normal SAT. I know that’s true of Yale, not sure about other schools. But I think preventing score choice on subject tests is pretty rare. Their website should say!
Don’t worry about the math 1 score anyway it is fine! They’ll see three other higher scores and the 730 on math 1 is a great score.
Penn went score-optional this year for Subject Tests. Last year, when 2 Subject Tests were required, they required all scores to be reported. So, now that they are optional, they appear to allow you to just send the ones you want, but it never hurts to call them and confirm.
@skieurope Thanks for letting me know this. I couldn’t find that on their website. I still emailed them and will not make a decision until they respond (unless of course they don’t respond). And just to make sure one other person can confirm, I am not supposed to send AP scores to any schools along with my applications?

Penn appears to have dropped the requirement to send all subject tests. The following are the only other colleges that require you to provide all subject tests: Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, Harvey Mudd, Yale (if you submit any SAT or subject test you must submit both all SATs and all subject tests; you can instead just submit all ACT’s), and possibly Cornell and Barnard (for those two, the stated rules are extremely ambiguous).
There is no college that requires you to submit any or all AP scores for determining admission. A small number allow you to submit offical AP scores in lieu of submitting other tests such as SAT or ACT, or subject tests but none of those require all AP scores. Otherwise, official AP scores do not need to be submitted until after you are admitted and want credit for the courses.
I believe Stanford requires ALL test scores as well. Not talking about AP tests which you self-report. However, if you took am AP class but didn’t self-report the score, it would raise a red flag that you probably did not score well (1 or a 2).
@drusba Thank you for the info. @Falcon1 Thank you, but I am not applying to Stanford. The only AP class I have taken so far is U.S. History, and I scored a 5 and reported that. I did not take an AP Economics class, so I don’t have to worry about that.
Stanford requires all SAT and ACT tests but you can send whatever subject test scores you want to send. The list I provided above is all those that require all subject test scores.
