Score comparison of PSAT and SAT when both taken in Oct of JR YEAR

To everyone who has taken the
1. PSAT in Oct of their JR YEAR AND the
2. SAT in Oct or Nov of their JR YEAR,
(i.e. both tests within one month of each other)
what was the scores on both as a comparison?
Were they similar?

SAT in October, a week before my PSAT - 2250

PSAT in October - 216

I wasn’t as focused during my PSAT. This might have been a detrimental effect from taking the 4 hour long SAT a week earlier. The real test is similar to a mental marathon - it’s quite draining. I don’t recommend taking the SAT the week before the PSAT. You might suffer burnout and miss out on scholarships. However, do practice tests.

For reference, I scored a 2330 (780 CR/770 M/780 W) in March. The PSAT and SAT are very similar. However, the PSAT has slightly easier math sections.

I took mine in October and January of Junior year:

PSAT: 168
SAT: 2100

lol

^Wow. Congrats on your improvement. I’m impressed :)

I was similar to Luminouzz:

PSAT: 219
November SAT: 2220
May SAT 1 month ago: 2330

Thanks. It was mostly a matter of caring and not caring haha.

PSAT: 200
SAT: 2060

I did roughly the same. Though the essay was what really brought me down. Had it not been included I would have scored 2100 exactly.
