How can I improve my SAT score from 1350 to 1550 in 2 months? I took the January SAT without any preparation and scored 1350. After that I did not have much time to study because of the school workload and the APs but I still retook the test in June. I don’t know my score yet but I assume that I improved it to some extent. I expect at least a 1420 based on my practice tests. I am willing to dedicate the time remaining before August 22-nd to studying for the test for at least 3-4 hours every day. However, I don’t know how to start. I purchased the Kaplan, Ivy Global, and Official College Board books. I also started practicing online with Khan Academy. Does anybody have suggestions? Should I consider hiring a tutor?
p.s: I will be a senior next academic year
It depends on your style of learning. Some kids have shown a 100 point increase by going to a SAT prep class 2-3 times a week to review and take practice tests. Key is mental conditioning, take as many practice tests as you can and sincerely time yourself. Check out some online prep sites as well. Good luck.
Have you tried taking the ACT?
@Hamlon No, I have not. I’m considering doing that in September.
A practice test I mean.
@Hamlon No, I have not done that yet
