Hey everyone. I have been slaving over the ACT all summer by doing practice tests and studying. I was wondering what you guys think these scores from practice tests mean i will get. Thanks.

English: 28-30 using PR 1296
Reading: 31-33 using PR 1296
Math: Haven't really done prep. I assume if I study, I'll improve my 27, but for now let's just stick with the 27.
Science: 34( almost consistently) using the PR 1296

Thanks everyone. :) My goal is to get a 34+ on the ACT. If anyone has any ideas on how to boost my english and math particularly, I would really love to hear comments. Thanks again.

For math, I expect to spend literally the rest of my summer studying math. I have to take a placement test to get into a calculus class at the University, so i’m going to be studying a lot of pre-calculus stuff. So with the help of my brother ( he is REALLY good at math) I should be able to get a 32+ in math. So if you guys could consider that into your calculations, that would be great.

I don’t know if anyone else has an opinion, but thank you all for your comments!

Do they have a really good English preparation section? I feel like I just keep making really small mistakes, so I dunno.

The reason I’m so bad at English though is because in grades 1-9 I never really had an english class because I was in a spanish immersion program. So, I’ve pretty much taught myself English grammar this summer.

Umm, look over why you got them wrong and find out the grammatical rule you don’t know. If it’s a stupid mistake, find out why you made it and make sure if you see something similar again not to make it.

If you feel very unsatisfied, post the example here.

Note, there’s no point of rushing youself through all the questions if you aren’t fully comprehending your errors. Go through at your own pace and find your strengths and weaknesses unless time is your issue.

Time isn’t my issue. I always end with a lot of time. Maybe it’s just because PR 1296 has such bad questions? haha. Just kiddding, but not really, I don’t know. But I just feel like I’m at such a disadvantage. I don’t even know English that well. I am trying to read Barron’s 36 right now. Let me look over it really quick and tell you what area is messing me up the most… it really is just a little bit of everything to be honest. I just don’t know what to do. This is the only section that has ever made me this upset.
