740 Math
690 CR
780 Writing (80 MC, 9 essay)

Wish I would've done a bit better on CR so I would be totally done, but I'm still extremely surprised (in a good way) and satisfied!

ScrabbleMaster, you're hilarious. I love you.

Sweeeeeet...

740 Math
770 Critical Reading
740 Writing (10 essay)

2250 composite

Overall I'm pretty happy with this score, although the low-ish Writing (80 PSAT) was slightly disappointing. Pleasantly surprised by CR though, that's never been my strong point.

670 M
690 CR
780 W (essay 8)

i'm surprised about my essay though.. i had 3 good examples and thought it was overall very clear and coherent. upset about my math grade... on my psats my math was my highest grade. plus i thought i did ok on the math... was the curve really bad or something? CR was expected.. Taking them again in June.

Crap!!! I wasted my 100th post on something else... Zoogie, I hope you get your 411th in...

Oh this is a scores thread:

CR: 690 (I wish I could read... I wish i could read sooooo much...)
M: 790 (I hate that triangle problem... and I hope colleges do Composite)
W: 800 (Wow... 80 Grammar, 10 Essay... My eyes fell out when I saw this)

Total: 2280 (<= My new favorite number :) )

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised, but was this test graded (curved) easier? Im asking cause I've only asked two other people and they got 2220 and 2270.

Good Job to everybody else too!

:)

Hey, weird...I just realized...I'm pretty consistent

I got 1500 on the old SAT, and now 2250 on the new one

800M/800CR/730W

Well, at least this makes up for the 780M I got last time. I am very, very surprised by the 800CR. I had the same score in CR last time, and when CB sends score reports in the mail, they give out some information regarding whether one should take the SAT over or not. In this area it said "Among students with verbal scores of 800, 84% score lower on a second testing and 16% receive the same score. On average, a person with a verbal score of 800 loses 52 points on a second testing." After reading that, I thought there is no way I could do it a second time. But I am pleasantly surprised by what I found out today.

But then again, I could not believe how badly I did on the Writing. 70 out of 80 on the MC...I believe that's nearly 10 questions, if not more, that I missed. How could I have done that, I wonder...

[/End katharsis]

ouch... ouch ouch ouch....

790 M 680 R 660 W for a grand total of 2130... retake anyone?

710M, 660CR, 770WR
Ivy League for me? Forget about it. I don't know what made me have high hopes. Amazing what one stupid test can do.

I am sure ScrabbleMaster is attempting irony here, so let's not ruin the joke. After all, a sentence that starts with "as a student currently enrolled in an ivy league institution" and ends with a trite attack on those who complain about high scores surely cannot be in sincerity.

doesn't it bother you when new posters sign up just to gloat? not all of them... but some...

700 Math/660 Critical Reading/ 630 Writing

Woohoo, now I only need to bring up my Math, Critical Reading, and Writing!

Maybe ACT will be better....

As a student currently enrolled in an ivy league institution who remembers all too well the arduous nature of the college admissions process, I must say that many of the people who posted on this thread need to re-evaluate whether or not they have nauseating personalities. Seriously, whining about, "omg, I only got a 2290" makes you a gigantic tool.

I agree completely. A number of people are complaining about their essay grades, but if their thought processes arise in essays as inarticulately or as amateurly as they appear here, then there is little doubt as to why they received a low score.

Come on everyone. Princeton Review and the other preparation organizations guessed that the content of your essay wouldn't be important, but perhaps they were wrong. The diction and syntax of your opening paragraph are probably what determined your overall score. My review program didn't say that, but that's what I gambled on, and I got an 11. If your sentences do not parse well, then you're not going to get a high score. It's as simple as that.

Will colleges take the best subscores you've ever gotten? Do you think they'll switch to best scores in one sitting?

800 math (YES)
690 CR (w/e i suck)
730 Writing (yay)

yes i guess im somewhat a one trick pony lol but im so happy! 2100 and 800M was my no-retake policy so i am set (and im only a soph)

Depends on the college. Some do, some don't...

ilovemath314159 - Congrats! That 800M is amazing

Is it me or did ppl do worse on the march sat than the jan sat?

Wow definitely feelind MAD stupid: 660M 640CR 680W (8) essay
The only thing that's keepinng me alive now is the fact that I'll prolly take it twice more since I'm only a sophmore :| And I only had literally 1.5 weeks of prep but I'm still feeling pretty dumb here Oh well

How do you get an essay regraded?? I should've gotten at LEAST a 10 and got a 9 which means there was at least some discrepency. Anyone know how to get an essay regraded?

Sohni that's pretty good. This 'smart' guy at my school is a junior and took this test and got 17something. Now that's bad. :(
