1570 <-what it would be if it was the old SAT

Writing: 720 (71, 10)

2290 <-New SAT Score

I don't know what happened with writing. I got 800s on the only two practice tests I took before. I came out thinking I got a 2360, and my Math and Reading scores I was pleased with. I highly doubt I will retake, seeing that colleges are iffy about the new writing section and won't weight it too heavily. Well my 1570 became about a 1530, but I'm f***in happy anyway.

I'm done with this test. (side note, I got a 34 on my ACT.)

680M 740R 800W. Yeah my math and reading sucked but I have higher ones from the old SAT to use for my composite. Thought it was interesting that I only got a 9 on the essay and still got 800 on writing. Seriously though, they must have graded the essays way harder than most of us were led to believe. Oh well. I'll probably retake in the fall sometime.

If you remember, I was the one who had an completely incomplete (!) essay (I was stopped when writing in the middle of 3rd paragraph, and didn't have a finished thesis)
But still, I did better than I thought:
M/CR/W: 790/690/680 = 2160
I registered for the next SAT the day I came back from this SAT. As for the essay, surprisingly, I got an EIGHT!! Nothing to boast about, but in my circumstance...whew.

you people with the 2000s+ that say your scores suck, yourself suck. You cannot say that your score is 'horrible' until it's as low as mine....blech....
(btw, don't take that first comment as offensive...it's just that i'm mad/horrified at my score, lol...)

I apologize if I seem resentful, but I'm getting incredibly agitated by the number of people who are complaining about their low scores, deeming a 2200 as somehow "beneath them". A 2200 is really nothing to complain about; the score is quite admirable and is higher than the "average score" many top universities and colleges are looking for (such as Berkley) in their Fall 2006 students. I can understand that you may be upset in missing a problem you knew was right, but if you can honestly say that a 2200 is a travesty against your own being, then I'm afraid you're going to have an abysmal college career, making outlandish goals that no normal human being is ever expected to have.

I got an 1840, and I doubt my mental capacity will allow for anything much greater. I am in no way qualified to attend any institution of merit under my current academic conditions. This was a huge letdown, but it has also shown me that despite my best efforts, I simply cannot trick my own brain into being smarter. Those of you with 2200s and up have clearly demonstrated your abilities to take the SAT successfully, and will most likely go far in life. Just remember, the SAT is by no means the deciding factor in college decisions. I suggest you stop worrying about not getting the perfect score and start working on writing a good essay, doing meaningful extracurriculars, and keeping up that GPA.

I'm upset at my 2160 because I know I can do better. Look at it this way:

PSAT sophomore year - 223
PSAT junior year - 220
SAT junior year - 2160

That's a trend that I don't particularly like. I also KNOW that I can do better in math. 700. shakes head It's mostly disappointment, in that you could have done better, but you didn't.

i cant wait to see what i did on cr to get 690, after looking at all the forumes i though for sure i would get mid to high 700s, same with math :(, only 710 :(, retake, i know i can do better, anyone have any ideas on curves, verbal seems to go from 720 to 690...

Is ANYONE else's scores not up yet?!?! I took them on Saturday with everyone else and this is ****ing me off! I called CB and i got this vibe that if your essay had a pretty big difference in scores between the two different graders then it would be regraded this week and they will be released next Monday. Man this sucks!
