Are scores of 3 considered good or bad for Ivies? (This is for Calc BC). Are they considered in the admissions process if everything else (grades, SATs) are good enough?

a score of a 3 is neither good nor bad. you probably wont receive credit from the ivies (they usually require 4’s, sometimes 5) but it wont necessary induce a rejection letter

For the Ivies, a score of 3 is probably bad, since you’re competing against a ton of people who have most likely gotten 4’s and 5’s. However, I’ve heard that AP scores don’t have a lot of weight in the admissions process, so it probably won’t make or break you.

It depends on your other scores. My friend got into Columbia with a few 2s, but most of her other AP scores/ SAT scores were excellent.

if you get rejected from an ivy, it won’t be because of your 3 in calculus

Based on last year’s BC curve, 40% got 5’s and 80% got 3 or higher… so I guess you’re in the 30th percentile? No offense =D
