My school puts every score for every standardized test I've taken on my transcript automatically. I did much better on my ACT than on my SAT I or SAT II's. Is it a good idea to send my ACT scores through the testing agency and not my SAT scores? (SAT will be on the transcript anyway).

hey gd,

"Please note: Applicants are required to report all SAT and ACT test scores."

hope that helped
db

But db, does that mean through the testing agency or can they read it off the transcript mkat sent?

you have to send ALL scores and stanford highly recommends taking SAT subject tests anyways so all in all, send the scores. they will take the highest scores, be it SATI or ACT.

"Your official test results must reach
Stanford no later than November 1 for Restrictive Early
Action, January 1 for Regular Decision, or March 15 for
Transfer.
We cannot accept photocopies or student-reported
scores as official."

i guess im not sure whether or not that includes school-reported scores.

wait so i did take the SAT and i like my sat score over my act. Now i did self report the ACT score too (i am not sure why). so do i have to send an offical act report then? Is it too late now?
Should i rush my scores?

How can they get scores by Jan 1st if you took them on the December testing date?

Also, I found another statement regarding SAT and/or ACT scores

"Applicants must submit scores from all SAT tests (including Subject Tests) taken or all ACT tests taken. Applicants cannot elect to "hide" any scores with either testing agency."

Testing Requirements : Stanford University

This wording makes it seem like you don't have the send BOTH SAT and ACT. But rather, you have to send all of your SAT scores OR all of your ACT scores.
