Problem with ACT/SAT

Alright, well I got a little issue here. I took the SAT in January of '06 and got an 1860, and then took the ACT in September and got a 28. This is all okay, but now, I took the SAT in October and got a 2170, which is obviously much better than my 28 ACT score.

When I submit my college applications, should I fill out my ACT score and just not bother to send the ACT score through the ACT people? The ACT score is practically incomparable to my SAT so it seems useless, but I did still take it so I don't know if colleges really need to see the score report or not.

Should I just not write anything on my apps about the ACT? Stanford asks me if I have taken the ACT--I'm not going to lie--so I guess I could just put down the score but not bother to send in the score report. For the UC Application, it doesn't ask me whether I took it or not, so I just left the ACT Score section blank and I don't think I will send the score report.

Is this the proper way to go about this?

Don't list the ACT score. No reason for them to know.

But on things like the Stanford application, it asks me directly: Have you taken the ACT? I can't lie and say I didn't, so would it be smart to just list my score but not bother to send in the score report?

You answered your own question.

Just be truthful.

Yeah, don't send the score report. Or just say yes and don't provide the score.

Be honest on the app but no reason to send official ACT. Note, that info on the app is not going to hurt you. Stanford relies on that test it believes is the higher between the SAT and ACT and also relies on offical score submitted for admission not what you put on the app. The info on the app is mainly for its own use for statistical purposes relating to keeping track of scores of all who apply over the years.
