Hi guys I 'm taking SATs in may. I have problems raising my critical reading score from 670 - 710 range upwards. I usually score every point on swntence completions but find it hard to score high on the passages.
I am freaking out because i've done a lot of practice tests and i keep scoring within that range?
Help will be very much appreciated.

Hey, festus i’m in almost the same position you’re in, with my score stuck around 680-700.
It seems that almost every time, we must get something wrong in the passages huh???
I’ve found that almost every exam, there was a passage that I almost couldn’t grasp, thus getting 4 incorrects from that one passage.

Maybe… while going through the passages, try to understand
- what the author is FEELING <- very important. also, i found that it helps if i try to take note the degree of their feelings. Say… the amount of ambivalence, and what the author admits to.
- their stance <- sometimes they try to trick you by giving you examples of authority who the author disagrees with.

I’m studying for that may SAT too! haha good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Good luck on the May SAT

really a plaintive situation when we find that we have made mistakes at least in one of the 3 sections!
