Hello, everyone! I'm new here, so please be gentle. ;)

Okay, I'll get to the point. I'm homeschooled and have already taken the ACT. I have a composite score of 32. I've already been accepted to a state school here in the US, and I'm applying to a few more. Recently, I've been looking at some universities abroad out of curiosity, but I'm not sure if they will admit homeschoolers. I'm interested in some universities in Ontario and Montreal, such as U of Ontario and McGill, but they really don't mention anything about homeschooled applicants, especially the former. I've also read up on the University of Edinburgh, and they don't mention anything about that either. Has anyone ever applied to these universities? If so, what was the whole process like? What was required?

In addition, McGill and Edinburgh both require a letter of reference from an independent source (the former requires it only from homeschoolers). The only people who have ever been involved in my academic career are my parents, so if I were to apply to those schools, how would I be able to produce such a letter? And, both schools ask for a high school diploma. A homeschool is definitely unaccredited, so would they accept a diploma from one?
