<p>I was looking into University of Scranton and could not find a forum for it. Can anyone tell me about the city itself? Nice place to live? A lot to do? Just things in general about Scranton.</p>

<p>D graduated from there and S is there now. Both love it. As with any city, Scranton has its good parts and bad parts. There is generally plenty to do. There is a mall within walking distance, movie theaters, plenty of pizza places and coffee shops, and a ski area just down the highway about 15 minutes where they also hold concerts. The city hosts the 4th largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country, and an Italian festival takes place over Labor Day weekend. The Office convention was held there last year. U of S sports teams are very competitive in their Div. 3 conference. Scranton is a Jesuit school and has very strong academics. Any other questions, just ask!</p>
