As a freshman, is it hard to get into this club? or does pretty much everyone who wants in get in? Also, what's the deal if the school's on break? I would be at home for Thanksgiving and might miss a home football game and during Christmas break I'd probably miss several basketball games. Does this count against you for the two strike rule? or do they make an exception during breaks like this?

it really depends on the expectations for the sports teams. in the past a lot of people joined because they wanted to go to the basketball games, but in the fall the club is generally just freshmen. with the success of the football team this year, however, the school is anticipating a lot more people wanting to sign up in the fall, and i believe they recently had signups for current students who wanted to make sure they got in before the new freshmen showed up. i wouldn't worry; i can't imagine you'd have a problem getting into screaming demons. games that occur when the school is on break are not required.

on my application i realized after i sumbitted it that the reference i made to the screamin demons actually had said "screamin deacons" which makes no sense because it doesn't rhyme as well at all. luckily, they still let me in lol. HOPEFULLY they didn't flag me to not get into the club! haha that would really stink.

They make exceptions over breaks (Thanksgiving for football and Spring Break for basketball). Football Screamin' Demons sign-ups will be packed for freshmen. I'm actually on the Screamin' Demons committee and the football sign-ups will be the first or second day of classes (tentatively), so mark your calendar and be sure to get there early!
