screwed up my chances for college...

i think the decision to take a different math class might kill me when college admission time comes around...
here are my stats + a few things to know...
-my school doesn't allow honors/weighted classes until junior year, which kills my gpa...
-i didn't want to take pre-calculus because i was afraid of getting a C...and instead i took another math class.... but i'm planning on taking pre-calc senior year and calculus this summer....
-i'm not going to take the AP EURO AP test because I might risk getting a 3 or lower even though i have a solid A in the actual class....

10th gpa: 3.83 UW & W
11th gpa: 3.83 UW & 4.5 W (1st semester just ended)

SAT: took january... find out results on the 11th of february
PSAT: 212... which means commended scholar...

EC's:
-09-10 President of Key Club, 10-11 Cali-Nev-Ha Key Club District Board Lieutenant Governor
-08-09 Treasurer of MUSE (my school's only music club), 09-10 VP of MUSE, 10-11 President of MUSE (i know this for sure)
-CSF Member
-Link Crew Leader (Academics Committee)
-Tennis Team, Coach's Award
-Chorus (Currently most advanced choir)
-Number of academic/merit awards as well as Key Club awards

I'm not hoping for much, which is understandable because of my stats.
especially my decision not to take pre-calc... or the AP EURO AP test...

my dream (unattainable) schools are UCLA and UC Berkeley.
my target schools are UCSD and UCI.
i do not have any fall backs.
if i don't get into any of these four schools, i will attend community college.

sorry – i was also nominated for Girls’ State as well, and I was the Youth of the Month too.
…doubt that even helps though…

For most colleges taking one math course will most likely not change your decision results if you have a good gpa (which you do) and testing scores (which it sounds like you will). That said, why don’t you have any fall back schools? They may not be your ideal school but it is far better to go to a relatively good school than community college and you can always try to transfer up. I don’t know much about either of the schools you mentioned but there are definitely a lot of good schools you can go to and only having reaches going into this process is for lack of a better word silly.
ps- take the AP test, even if you get a 3 you might still get college credit for it and AP scores are not generally something colleges talk about as deciding factors.

dude your close to ucla and uc berkeley average gpa and if you do as well on the sat as you did on the psat you should get a 2120 which will definatly get you accepted

ucb- 3.91
ucla- 3.86
