screwed up senior semester grades,, withdraw the offer?

hey guys, its’ a shame to tlak about this, but i just got a C on ap physics C and a D on japanese 2, wilil this make the colleges withdrawl their offers even if i was admitted? and wut about schools like UIUC, purdue who don’t require mid year report? i’m in deep worries. :(:(:frowning: any information is helpful, especially if you know someone who’s had bad grades for senior year and still got admitted. thanks

i have the same problem,,,i got a C..and i also got into UIUC

It depends upon the school and your status in the app process. If the school requires a midyear report and they look at that before making the decision, you could be in trouble. Generally if you are already accepted, not sending a midyear report is no big deal and a slight decrease in gpa won't make a difference. Don't even know if too many adcoms are looking at the accepted students new data yet. It is the end of year report that can get you into trouble if your grades have taken a nose dive as every single college requires that last transcript that generally has the senior year grades.

I hate to add to your tension and worries, but I knew a senior from last year who was accepted to Duke early decision with a 3.9 UW and 1410 SAT score. He slacked off towards the end of fall semester and ended up with three C's in math and science related courses and a B in gym. He also earned two C's and two A's spring semester. Needless to say, he attends Kennesaw State University right now. My advice to you is to hope that it doesn't affect your GPA too bad and get your spring semester grades back up. Good luck to you.

it wont' affect my gpa too much, coz i'm taking aps and honors more than i used to,, the gpa might be .1 below before,, and i'm planning to get straighti As for the 2nd semseter,, is it necessary to send in my quarter report card? (1 school year has 2 semesters, 1 semester has 2 quarters) thanks for all your posts :)

I just received my first term grades. 2 A's Spanish 5 and honors band and two B- in AP Cal and honors physics do you think this will affect college acceptances. I have a 4.1 weighted GPA and was ranked 14/324.
