I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I live in the state of Washington and have narrowed down my college choice to these three schools. I’ve visited all three and each have definite benefits and drawbacks.
I love the feeling of Scripps and the intense academic vibe around campus. The girls are fantastic and the resources of the consortium draw me in. However, I’m not really a fan of the atmosphere or feeling of living in California. Since I’m from Washington, I love the rain but would be open to adjusting to a new place. Is it worth it to attend Scripps since I’m not in love with the location? It’s also the most expensive but my parents are willing to work with it.
Puget sound definitely has less academic rigor. I love the outdoors program and the student body but it’s not quite the atmosphere that I feel like I would do well in. However, the location is great.
UW is my in-state school and cheaper. I’m not drawn to the large school feel.
Thoughts? I have about a week to decide and I’m quite conflicted.
