<p>I just found out today at our peer mentor training that Scripps has been named by Newsweek as the "Hottest Women's College" of the year. I don't know a lot about these rankings, but it looks like Scripps is on its way up! Just a bit of info for those of you whose daughters may be applying this year - please keep in mind that the class of 2009 is overenrolled by 35 students, so I'm guessing admissions will be extra careful this year. The average SAT of incoming first-years in 1380; the average SAT for a J.E.S scholar is 1500. I also believe that the average weighted GPA for a regular admit was around a 4.1 and for a JES around 4.5. The Newsweek article can be found here:</p>
