SCU or UC San Diego for Engineering

I am currently deciding between going to Santa Clara University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Aerospace or attending UC San Diego and majoring in Electrical Engineering. Which school do you recommend to offer the best chances of attending a more prestigious graduats school such as UC Berkeley or Stanford? Which school would you choose if you were in my situation? I will be visiting both colleges during the upcoming weeks before making my final deciscion, however your input is greatly appreciated. The difference in cost between the two schools is not important as well considering financial aid has reduced the cost of the colleges to the same price.

Additionally, on my application to UCSD I placed Aerospace Engineering as my first choice and, since it was impacted, placed Electrical Engineering as my second choice. I was admitted into Electrical Engineering, which I am entirely satisfied with, however I will attempt to transfer into the Aerospace Engineering program. However, on my Santa Clara Application, I declared Psychology as my major. Will I face any difficulty switching my major into Mechanical Engineering? Is there any chance I will not be able to change majors?

Thank-you

The environment of the two schools couldn’t be any more different. It’ll have to boil down to that for you. I did a summer engineering camp at SCU and got a good feel for the school and facilities, but knew that I didn’t want to go to a place like that for college.
