SCU Transfer Fall 2010

Congratulations! I am so nervous, it is driving me crazy waiting for the mail!

I also applied into the school of arts and sciences as an Econ major…

They asked for a progress report so hopefully that is a good sign!

Congrats to your daughter! I applied to Leavey and still haven’t heard back ahhhh it’s driving me insane!

Hopefully another batch goes out tomorrow (Monday). Someone reported a batch had gone out May 10th or 11th. Our packet was postmarked a week later on Monday, May 17th. Maybe a pattern of a set per week? Hard to say, just crossing my fingers for you!

Anyone else heard back yet?

No, not yet…

I received my packet today and was admitted Yahoo! Good luck to the rest of you.

/Congrats! Did it come with a credit evaluation and/or a financial aid estimate or letter? Also when was it postmarked?

It was postmarked on 5/25 and I received it on 5/26 but I live in Santa Clara County so I received it quickly. Once I received it, I logged into e-campus and all the admission information had been updated. So I believe once they mail the packet they update ecampus so you would see it in there. Credit transfer evaluation was included but I did not receive any financial aid so it was not included.

Awesome thanks and congrats. I live in LA so hopefully it comes tomorrow, or they send out another batch sometime next week.

Thanks and good luck to you!

Admitted, but the financial aid package was not that great. I only received federal and state loans/grants, nothing from SCU itself. Is there an appeal process? My EFC is pretty close to zero and my family income is low as well. So far about 22,000 is covered, but I will need at least 20k more to even consider scu.

Congratulations on your acceptance to SCU! I too did not receive anything other than loans. Unfortunately, they expect my family to contribute based on EFC however; I am going to need to take a loan. I received no aid and need about $40k. I was a bit surprised. Oh well, I am now debating University of Colorado or Santa Clara University. Both good schools and going out of state will cost me about the same as if I stayed home and went to SCU. Again, congrats on your acceptance.

Thanks. I don’t know what the deal with that is. They can’t expect us to take out all that in loans… a bit ridiculous if you ask me. I’m going to file an appeal and write a letter explaining the circumstances. Best of luck wherever you attend and congrats.

Congrats on you acceptance! Good luck with the financial aspects, too. I know it can be difficult to finance a college education, and even moreso at the many of the private colleges.

Accepted! :)

Congrats, iloveecon. And your final decision is…?

I applied as a sophomore transfer this year with a 3.47 GPA and I have yet to hear back from them. Has anyone still not heard back from SCU yet?

When did you apply, I applied in April and I have not heard back yet either.

I know a transfer student from last year who didn’t get notified until June 7th. She had a 3.7 transfer GPA and was transferring into L&S. Don’t know if that helps or has any relevance to this year’s notifications.

On SCU’s ecampus it says: “Transfer decisions will be sent via USPS by the first week in June. Decisions will not be posted on eCampus.” So it seems the last batch/es should be going out asap.

Good luck.

Haven’t heard back yet either
